Three Thematic Maps

What are thematic maps?

Thematic maps showcase a certain feature. Some example of features that a thematic map could showcase would be temperature, city size, or percentage of senior citizens that a state may have. The four types of thematic maps are choropleth, isoline, proportional symbol, and dot.  Below you will see an example of an  isoline, dot, and choropleth map with an explanation of each maps purpose.
